3 People Have Died As A Result Of A Us Airstrike Against Isis In Syria, Officials Tell ABC News

An official from the United States stated that on Sunday, operations were carried out by United States forces in northwest Syria against militants affiliated with ISIS.

The United States is currently determining the identity of the three people who were killed during the operation. According to the official, there were no casualties among the American forces.

“The raid resulted in the probable death of a senior ISIS Syria leader and operational planner responsible for planning terror attacks in the Middle East and Europe,” said Joe Buccino, a spokesman for the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), in a statement to ABC News.

Earlier in this month, U.S. forces carried out an operation in northwest Syria that resulted in the death of a “ISIS senior leader,” as revealed by CENTCOM.

The military determined that the leader’s name was Khalid ‘Aydd Ahmad Al-Jabouri. According to the military, this individual was responsible for expanding ISIS’s leadership network as well as organizing strikes in Europe and Turkey.

A press release issued by CENTCOM at the time stated that the murder of Khalid ‘Aydd Ahmad al-Jabouri would cause a temporary disruption in the organization’s ability to plot strikes against external targets.

As part of its mission to battle ISIS across the area, the United States now has approximately 900 troops stationed in Syria. In recent years, American forces operating in the nation have assassinated or arrested a number of ISIS officials.
