On Monday morning, there was a gunshot on the east side of Indianapolis that resulted in the death of a man.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, police were sent to the 3400 block of North Emerson Avenue at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Monday in response to allegations that a person had been shot there. The location is conveniently next to a gas station.
At the scene, they discovered a man who was injured, and it appeared that the injury was caused by a bullet. He was sent to a local hospital, but he passed away soon after his arrival there.
According to the findings of the investigation, the shooting most likely took place in the 2800 block of North Stuart Avenue in the midst of a “disturbance between the victim and an unknown person.”

The man’s identity as well as the circumstances surrounding his death are currently being investigated by the Marion County Coroner’s Office.
