Avowed Pc Release Date: Obsidian Entertainment is developing a new game set in the same universe as Pillars of Eternity, and it’s called Avowed. The first-person role-playing game has been said to have real-time battles, a massive open environment, and magic. Nothing much has been reported on Avowed since its original reveal at the 2021 E3 Xbox and Bethesda event.

But as one of the forthcoming Obsidian titles, anticipation for the release keeps rising. Simply seeing the teaser for the announcement has piqued our interest in this new journey and we can’t wait to see more.

Below is a summary of all we know about Avowed at the moment, including its setting, the platform on which it is planned to be released, and more.

Avowed Pc Release Date

At this time, there has not been any specific date for the release of Avowed has been revealed. The trailer that was used to reveal the game did not provide any indications regarding a time range, nor did it even provide a general estimate of the year. But in light of the recent release of version 1.0 of Grounded, Obsidian’s early access survival game, and the fact that Pentiment will be available for purchase in November, it is possible that it will soon be time to talk about Avowed.

This is because Obsidian just recently released version 1.0 of Grounded.  However, Obsidian has now revealed that it would be producing a sequel to its science fiction role-playing game The Outer Worlds, and it is still uncertain which of these two installments will be made available to the public first.

What is Avowed?

Obsidian unveiled its newest original intellectual property (IP), titled Avowed, during the Xbox Games Showcase in July 2021. Based on the brief teaser clip, it looks to be a first-person role-playing game akin to Skyrim. The teaser film also stated that the game would have sword fighting and magic skills based on runes. It takes place in the world of Eora, which was also the setting for Obsidian Entertainment’s role-playing game Pillars of Eternity.

“combat actions employing both first and third-person animations,” “branching conversation,” and “day/night cycles” are some of the features that have been discussed in relation to Obsidian’s next AAA project. This places the game in the same league as previous role-playing games developed by Obsidian, such as Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords and The Outer Worlds.

Avowed Pc Trailer

The very first Avowed video that was shown to us during the Xbox event at E3 2021 presented us with a diverse medieval setting. The film began in a battle-torn castle that was held by an empire of queens and kings “that has always known conflict.” According to the narrator, this empire has now descended into a state of decay, which has resulted in the loss of its vows and the emergence of an unknown hostile entity.

It would appear that the crimes committed by this empire gave birth to the evil monsters that appear in this game (skeletons have been verified as one of them!), and the player character is destined to come into conflict with these foes at some point. The fact that the video ended with the question “Is an oath worth the weight of a crown?” gives the impression that the player’s destinies may be tied to those of royalty, and that they may have to face their destinies head-on in order to successfully rebuild the destroyed empire.
