Early Life

Behati Prinsloo was born in Grootfontein, South Africa, on May 16, 1988. (now Namibia). Her father, Boet, is a minister, and her mother, Magda, owns a bed and breakfast. Although English is not Behati’s native language, she mastered it when she was younger. After completing Grade 9 at Grootfontein Middle School, Prinsloo left to pursue a career as a model.

When she was 16 years old, she went on a trip to Cape Town with her grandparents, she met a guy there in a grocery store. “Fashionista” magazine quoted Behati as saying, “This guy came up to me and asked if I was a model and wrote his contact on a piece of paper. My grandfather was like this is very suspicious.

After that, they returned home and she told about this her parents but they didn’t take any action. She claimed that Noelle Doukas, the daughter of Storm Agency founder Sarah Doukas, contacted her when she was in Cape Town the next time, which resulted in Behati signing with the company.

Career

As a Prada/Miu Miu exclusive, Prinsloo made her runway debut in 2006, and Models.com named her one of the top 10 new faces of Fashion Week. Behati’s maiden advertisement was going to be shot by Juergen Teller for Marc by Marc Jacobs. Then, she was captured on camera by Mario Testino and Paolo Roversi for “British Vogue,” and David Sims for “W Magazine.” She appeared in her first Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2007, and since then she has appeared in eight more. Prinsloo represented Victoria’s Secret’s Pink casualwear line in 2008, and the following year, she was named a Victoria’s Secret Angel.

She established the “Behati Loves Pink” swimwear line for Victoria’s Secret in 2010. She has also created a denim line for THVM and a line of clothing and accessories for Juicy Couture. Along with her modelling profession, Behati has also participated in music videos. Behati and Maroon 5’s lead singer Adam Levine on July 19, 2014, after two years of dating. The marriage, which took place in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, was conducted by actor Jonah Hill. Prinsloo gave birth to  Gio Grace on February 15, 2018, and Dusty Rose on September 21, 2016, with Levine.

Behati and fellow model Coco Rocha travelled to Haiti in cooperation with the charity organization LakayPam following the 2010 earthquake that left the country in devastation. Their journey, which was portrayed in the 2011 movie “Letters to Haiti,” featured helping to raise money. They also visited orphanages, and convey letters of hope from individuals all around the world. Prinsloo and Levine joined forces with Save the Children and Ferrari in July 2020 to raise funds for the charity’s educational initiatives that provided “free learning resources and support for parents and caregivers” during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Real Estate

The house owned by Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles was acquired by Adam and Behati for $31.95 million in 2019.  Gregory Peck had previously owned the nearly 8,800 square-foot house that Affleck and Garner obtained from filmmaker Brian Grazer. This mansion was offered for sale by Adam and Behati in March 2022 for $57.5 million.

A Beverly Hills house costing $33.9 million was purchased by Adam and Behati. It was less than a year since they bought the house stated above.

In March 2021, Adam and Behati spent $22.7 million for a stunning house on five acres in Montecito, California. Surprisingly, they only owned the house for 90 days before selling it for $28.5 million,  gaining about $6 million.
