Betty Marion White entered this world on January 17, 1922, in Oak Park, Illinois. Betty’s parents uprooted to the Golden State when she was just a year old. During the Great Depression, her father moved the family to Los Angeles in pursuit of better job prospects, where he sold crystal radios and bartered for food and other necessities. The news of Betty White Death startled the entire world. One of the most well-known and beloved people in the world, while being pursued by paparazzi, his untimely demise has long been shrouded in mystery and rumour.
Who Was Betty White?
During her time as a high school student, Betty White developed a deep love for nature. When she learned that women weren’t allowed to work as park rangers at the time, she quickly abandoned that ambition. Instead, she developed a passion for writing, and she even wrote and starred in her own play at her high school. Inspired by the likes of Jeanette MacDonald and other well-known performers of the day, her experience fueled a burning desire to pursue a career in acting.
It was the year of World War II’s outbreak (1939) and Betty White’s high school graduation. However, it took the United States many years to enter the fight, and White didn’t waste any time getting into the entertainment industry after graduating high school.
White had a promising acting career before the war interrupted her commitment to serving her nation. She helped move military supplies around California as part of the American Women’s Voluntary Service. Betty White Death
The autopsy results for Betty White have been released. A death certificate obtained by PEOPLE on Monday revealed that the Golden Girls star, who died on December 31 at the age of 99, died of a cerebrovascular accident. TMZ broke the story first.
Cerebrovascular accidents, more generally known as strokes, occur when the blood supply to the brain is suddenly cut off and brain tissue dies as a result. Clots and ruptured brain arteries are common culprits in this condition’s onset. The death certificate indicates that White had a stroke six days prior to her passing.
Reports from credible sources indicate “A little stroke had occurred. When she was sleeping, she passed away quietly.” Jeff Witjas, White’s longtime agent and friend, tells PEOPLE: “Without any suffering, Betty died away in her sleep. As her close friend, this means the world to me. Besides that, Betty’s business.”
Actress Betty White “died quietly in her sleep at her home” on December 31, according to a statement released by her agent and close friend, Jeff Witjas, to PEOPLE. After all, Witjas claimed, “I assumed Betty would live forever” even though she was nearing her 100th birthday. “The animal kingdom, which she adored, and I will miss her dreadfully. It’s unlikely that Betty was ever afraid of dying; she always wanted to be with her dearest husband, Allen Ludden. She had high hopes of reuniting with him.”
Later, on December 31, Witjas addressed rumours circulating online that the actress had passed away as a result of complications with the COVID-19 booster shot she had received on December 28. “People are alleging her death was due to getting a booster shot three days earlier but that’s not true,” Wojtas said in a statement to PEOPLE on January 3. “She passed away for entirely natural reasons. Her passing must not be used for political gain; she would not have wanted it that way.”
White, who will turn 100 on January 17, 2019, recently spoke to PEOPLE about how she feels about reaching this significant milestone in her life. To be in such wonderful condition and to feel so good at this age is really a blessing, she reflected at the time. Incredibly, “It’s great.”
In a 2012 TimesTalks conversation with New York Times columnist Frank Bruni, White declared that she felt “no fear or dread of death.” She said that her mother’s attitude has influenced her own and that she would be “glad as a lark to stick around as long as I can.”
White told Bruni, “My mother had a fantastic approach to death.” She used to say, “We know we have managed to find out practically anything that exists, but nobody knows… what occurs at that point when it’s over.”
“It’s the one thing we don’t know, she added. That’s why Mom constantly said, “Well, now he knows the secret,” when we lost someone very dear to us. Somehow, it lifted the curse as well.” Wojtas told PEOPLE on Friday that he would “frequently” remind her of the support from her admirers during her last few days of school.
“I told her, “Betty, millions of people are still begging for you, even when you’re not working.” The fan mail is pouring in, and so are the job offers “His words. “I have my doubts as to whether or not she ever fully accepted it or felt it deeply. To what degree? Not at all, honest. I felt it was important for her to know that, so I reminded her of it often. Whenever she was at home, I never wanted her to feel like life had passed her by. Never happened.”
As an afterthought, he said, “Betty lived a great life and she lived a life that she chose.” “Her mood had brightened. When I would tell her, “Betty, you’re loved,” she would always respond with a sardonic, “Really?” I really think she was aware. She probably did. There was more to it than love.”
