There hasn’t been much information released about the Deadpool 3 plot, but Wolverine will undoubtedly make an appearance. You already know what that denotes! Also, Hugh Jackman.
While the substantialness of Jackman’s presence in the third episode remains unclear, insiders confirmed that his contribution would be more than just a cameo.
Jackman and Reynolds originally teased Wolverine’s presence in the film in a hilarious Instagram Reel from September 2022, in which Jackman attempted to divulge the narrative, only to be drowned out when Wham”Wake !’s Me Up Before You Go-Go” abruptly started playing in the teaser.
But in classic MCU tradition, there will be no shortage of action! Jackman verified that fact when speaking to PEOPLE in October 2022, when he also remarked, “I’ll probably have more fun making this movie than any other I’ve ever done.”
“I believe being on set with [Ryan] every day with those two on film in every place together every day… I think it’s safe to say they’ll be punching the s—- out of each other the whole time,” Jackman said.
In January 2022, the actor spoke about the project again, revealing that the picture, which is set prior to the events of the 2017 film Logan, will be a unique experience for his character.
“When I keep thinking of Ryan and me of Deadpool and Wolverine, which are iconic comic-book enemies, there’s also a dynamic that I’ve never really got to play before as Wolverine. I just thought, ‘This is gonna be fun. Something I’ve never done before. I can’t wait.’ “
Which Cast Members Are Returning For Deadpool 3?
Reynolds will be reprising his role as Wade Wilson, better known by his wise-cracking nickname Deadpool. While the whole cast has yet to be finalized, Reynold revealed Leslie Uggams, who plays Deadpool’s elderly yet feisty roommate, Blind Al, is poised to return.
Although the two have a love-hate relationship on the screen, their friendship in real life is what generates suspicion surrounding her retribution.

When Uggams congratulated her fellow Deadpool costar on The Adam Project becoming number one on Netflix in March 2022, Reynolds responded with a cheeky reaction.
He tweeted: “Thank you, Leslie. See you soon,” followed by three sword emojis – a subtle homage to Deadpool’s blades, which he called Bea and Arthur.
When Will Deadpool 3 Take Place?
Seeing as Wolverine truly dies in Logan, fans have also claimed that the film would take place prior to the events of the 2017 film.
Although the specific timing has yet to be determined, Reynolds did reassure fans that “Logan takes place in 2029,” stressing that it’s a “completely separate thing. “Logan died in Logan. Not touching that,” the star remarked in a video.
Deadpool 3 Director
Shawn Levy is poised to helm the picture, taking up the role from David Leitch, who cited scheduling as his reason for not returning for the third chapter. Although directing Deadpool is a debut for Levy, it’s not his first engagement with the superhero actor.
Reynolds and Levy unforgettably teamed forces in 20th Century’s Free Guy and Netflix’s The Adam Project. Deadpool 3 will just complete the hat trick for the amazing team.

An official Deadpool 3 trailer has yet to be released. However, Reynolds has been uploading fun promotional videos for the film on social media, including his parody Q&A about the project with Jackman.
When Will Deadpool 3 Premiere?
Though not many details have been published regarding Deadpool’s third sequel, a release date has been set.
