Firefly Lane Season 2 Plot/Story

By the end of the first season, we get two very different impressions of Tully and Kate’s romance.

After Tully cancels her concert, she and her friend Kate spend some quality time together by the fire pit, where Tully makes good on her promise to assist Kate in her job search.

Kate eventually decides she never wants to see Tully again after an emotional encounter with him at her father’s burial.

Season 2 will undoubtedly shed light on the events that drove a wedge between Tully and Kate. This is a comedy about friendship, so it’s hard to imagine that they won’t reconcile in the end, even if they do fight.

The dramatic climax occurs at a funeral, however, it is unclear whose funeral it is. Tully’s attendance at the funeral indicates that it is for a close friend or relative of Kate’s.

Kate’s ex-husband Johnny, who went to Iraq, and Kate’s elderly father are the most plausible suspects. However, the effects of this on Kate and her adolescent daughter Marah will be explored in Season 2.

We expect season 2 to reveal more about Tully’s professional future, such as whether or not she offers Kate the job.

Since Firefly Lane is based on a well-known book, you won’t have to look very hard to learn what happens to Tully and Kate after the credits roll. Take care, you might not like what you find out there.
