Joanna Gaines began her life in the Sunflower State. Texas was where she spent her childhood. Her father was of mixed German and Lebanese ancestry, and her mother was of Korean descent. Before she became famous, she received a degree in Communications from Baylor University.

On April 19, 1978, Joanna Gaines entered the world in Kansas. Her family’s auto shop was her father’s business. Gaines, a native Texan who received a degree in communication from Baylor University, grew up in the Lone Star State. After Chip’s car broke down, they ended up working together at her father’s auto repair shop, where they eventually married. Two people who met online fell in love and started dating.
