She had been receiving medical care for some time and had been supported by her closest family and friends, the family representative adds. She had chosen to keep her fight private. “She was a lovely, intelligent, and compassionate person who really cared for others and brought life to everything she touched. Her family kindly requests your understanding of their current need for seclusion.”
John Travolta, Preston’s husband, and their two kids, Benjamin, 9, and Ella, 20, are still alive. 16-year-old Son Jett passed away in January 2009.

On September 5, 1991, Preston was two months pregnant with their son Jett when they exchanged vows. (The pair later wed again in Daytona Beach, Florida, on American territory.)
Preston and Travolta marked their 28th wedding anniversary in September of last year. At the time, the Grease actor posted on Instagram, “Happy Anniversary to my wonderful wife @therealkellypreston.”

And the three-parent mother loved her kids dearly. Preston admitted to InStyle in 2001, “I’ve wanted kids since I was nine.”
Their daughter Ella was born in April 2000, and their son Jett was born in April 1992. Ben was born in November 2010 after Jett’s terrible death, following three years of Preston and Travolta’s infertility struggles.
Preston celebrated Father’s Day in June by posting a family selfie on Instagram as his farewell post. She captioned the image of their son Ben and daughter Ella, which they shared on Father’s Day, “Happy Father’s Day to the best one I know, we love you.” Preston also published a black-and-white photograph of Jett and Travolta.
