After receiving almost one million “likes” on its Facebook page, the “R.I.P. Kid Rock” page, rumors about the singer’s purported passing gathered steam on Monday. Readers of the “About” page received a credible description of the American singer’s dying as follows:
“On Monday, October 10, 2022, around 11 a.m. ET, our cherished vocalist Kid Rock passed away. Kid Rock was born in Romeo on January 17, 1971. Though missed, he won’t be forgotten. Comment on and like this page to express your compassion and sympathies.
Immediately after learning of the talented 51-year-old singer and songwriter’s passing, hundreds of fans began posting condolence notes on the Facebook page. The death fake caused the Twittersphere to go crazy, as usual.
Who Is Kid Rock?
The son of auto dealership owners Susan and William Ritchie, Kid Rock was born Robert James Ritchie in Romeo, Michigan, on January 17, 1971. He grew up in his father’s 5,628-square-foot (522.9 m2) house on a 6-acre (2.4 hectares) property, where he frequently assisted his family with apple picking and caring for their horses. In the late 1980s, Kid Rock was a member of the hip-hop group The Beast Crew, where he started his professional music career. He met the rapper D-Nice at this time. He would soon start local performances for Boogie Down Productions thanks to that connection.
During this time, Kid Rock established a professional relationship with producer Mike E. Clark. Along with Detroit independent artist Esham, Kid Rock became one of the two biggest rap stars in that city because of the album. Kid Rock, Ice Cube, D-Nice, Yo-Yo, and Too Short performed on a national tour to promote the album, with Detroit musician Champtown serving as Kid Rock’s DJ. According to a recent survey done by the Celebrity Post, a vast majority of participants (83%) believe the Kid Rock death rumors are no longer amusing. Since the singer is “alive and well,” the Kid Rock death hoax has been discredited.
Kid Rock is not dead, the singer’s representatives formally said on Tuesday (October 11). “He now joins the long list of famous people who have fallen for this scam. Stop trusting anything you read online; he is still alive and healthy, they advised. Some fans are upset about the false claim, calling it careless, upsetting, and damaging to the singer’s devoted followers. Others claim that this demonstrates his incredibly widespread appeal.
