Loki Season 2 Plot/Story

The plot of Loki’s second season is being kept secret. After season 2 was announced, Hiddleston told Marvel (opens in new tab) that he was “excited about the possibilities” and that the team was in “deep, deep, deep discussions.” Since then, the actor has kept quiet.

Mbatha-Raw told Popculture.com that she’s looking forward to seeing her character go to “some deeper, darker places.” Ravonna Renslayer was first introduced as a sort of anti-hero and a possible love interest for Mobius. However, she was later shown to be a bad person whose loyalty to the TVA is more important to her than anything else. In the last episode of the season, Ravonna went off on her own to find freedom. “She wants to find out who tried to trick her. That’s what she’s going to look for, “Michael Waldron, the head writer, said something. (opens a new window) “She is a very scary person to meet out in the Multiverse. So let’s wait and see what happens.”

In the end, Sylvie, a different version of Loki who likes him, sent him to another dimension so she could finally kill He Who Remains. The killing doesn’t give her the satisfaction she was hoping for, and she is left alone at the Citadel at the End of Time. Sophia Di Martino told RadioTimes that she doesn’t know if her character will come back or not, but she did say that Sylvie’s last scene is “an interesting place to start another chapter” (via Marvel).

Hiddleston was recently asked if Loki will be in the upcoming Marvel movie Thor: Love and Thunder. As expected, he didn’t say much. He told Total Film, “I’m living in a question mark.” “It’s all a mystery. I used to think I could figure out what would happen, but now I have no idea. I’m not even trying to be like Andrew Garfield!”

When asked about Loki’s second season, he said: “What can I say? I’m still very interested and challenged by it. When season 1 ends, the story doesn’t end. I think that makes sense. Loki is almost even more unstable than he has ever been. He is as passionate, passionate, and chaotic as he has ever been. And some of that might need to be solved. There are things to sort out.”

Waldron has also given hints about what will happen. He told Deadline’s Hero Nation podcast, “The only reason the show was worth making in the first place is if we could find a new story to tell with this character” (opens in new tab). “We felt like we had to go through new feelings with Loki. That’s the only way to get into season 2. We found that for sure. It’s a great continuation of the story, but it feels different from the first season and should surprise people.”

Loki Season 2 Cast

It has been revealed that Gugu Mbatha-Raw will be returning as well as Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson. It was previously revealed that Mbatha-Raw would be returning as Ravonna Lexus Renslayer in an interview with GMA(opens in new tab). And as for Hiddleston, he informed Jimmy Kimmel(opens in new tab) that the entire cast would be returning.

Kate Herron, the show’s creator, and head writer announced her retirement from the project, saying she had no plans for a third season. In an interview with Deadline, Herron said, “I’m actually looking forward to seeing it as a fan next season” (opens in new tab). We did a great job here,  and I’m happy with what we accomplished.

The film will be directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. “Co-directing a majority of the episodes for season two” has been confirmed by Deadline. Moon Knight, a Marvel series starring Oscar Isaac as a superhero with a dissociative identity problem, was directed by the team in two episodes.

Authors Michael Waldron and Eric Martin, who worked on the show’s first season, are planning to return, though Martin will take on Waldron’s responsibilities as showrunner and executive producer.
