Authorities have confirmed the murder of MoneySign Suede, a well-known teenage rapper from Los Angeles who was reportedly stabbed on Tuesday night in the showers of a California prison.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the event happened at the Correctional Training Facility in Soledad, where he was incarcerated for 32 months on two gun-related offences.
Jaime Brugada Valdez, the rapper’s real name, is a native of Huntington Park, California. In the weeks preceding his passing, fans and other musicians have expressed their support for him by pleading for his release from prison in social media messages.
The general public is stunned, according to Nicholas Rosenberg, Valdez’s attorney. He was a very well-liked person and was quite polite. Everyone adored him.
Just before 10 p.m. on Tuesday, officials discovered Valdez was not in his cell during a routine count. He was later discovered to be unconscious.
Later on, he was found “with injuries consistent with a homicide,” according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

The attack apparently involved a knife to the neck, and the Monterey County district attorney’s office and the prison’s Investigative Services Unit are currently conducting an inquiry.
According to a prisoner who talked with the LA Times, the murder occurred in an area of the facility where general population offenders are housed.
Following the rapper’s passing on Wednesday, admirers and artists went to social media to pay their respects.
Rapper Peysoh from Los Angeles wrote, “LONGLIVESUEDE,” in one Instagram photo.
According to TMZ, the rapper was only 22 years old when he passed away.
