Louis CK Special: Is He Coming Up With New Stand Up Special?

Louis CK Special: Is He Coming Up With New Stand Up Special? How could the year 2021 possibly be any more chaotic? A stand-up comedy spectacular performed by a comedian who has a bad reputation, of course! In his new stand-up special titled Sorry, Louis C.K. proves once and for all that he is capable of apologizing, but only when he is being compensated for doing so.

The stand-up comedian’s performance at Madison Square Garden on August 14 was presumably recorded for a special that can now be purchased via the comedian’s official website. Another significant victory for cancel culture can be added to the record books.

It should not come as a surprise that C.K. will soon release a new stand-up special. Since 2017, when he admitted to claims of sexual harassment and misconduct that had been circulating for a long time, including masturbating in front of women while they were working, he has been intermittently publishing new content on his website.

This practice dates back years. His appearances in comedy clubs reportedly include jokes regarding the inappropriate behavior he has engaged in. Recently, he was given a nomination for a Grammy in the category of Best Comedy Album. Although he may have been briefly absent from the screens of our televisions, his “comeback” has been ongoing for many years.

However, Sorry is likely to be his most successful “comeback” album to date. It was claimed that on Saturday, December 19, a trailer for Sorry was broadcast on Saturday Night Live, a show that he wrote for in the early 2000s and that he has hosted four times. This effectively propelled him back into the mainstream.

Sorry was released on December 5th. The question “Are you picturing it?” appears at the beginning of the thirty-second clip. It’s excellent. It works so well that none of the people become pregnant. I’m sure this joke was amusing coming from the mouth of a man who has a history of asking female coworkers whether he could masturbate in front of them.

And just in case you were curious, the term “Sorry” does seem to have an ironic tone to it. In August, The Daily Beast published an article about the performance, describing it as “unapologetic.”

One more time, this really shouldn’t come as a surprise. In 2017, after the New York Times published an article in which a number of comedians and colleagues claimed that Louis C.K. had either asked to masturbate in front of them or coerced them into watching him masturbate, C.K. issued a lengthy statement in which he admitted that the allegations were true and seemingly offered up a great deal of self-hatred and regret for his actions. There was no use of the terms “sorry” or “apology” in the statement.

It is possible that C.K. should keep this “Sorry” to himself until he is ready to publicly repent and make up for what he has done.
