Man Charged With Mansl@ughter In Cr@sh That Took 5-year-old Worcester Girl’s Life

Prosecutors revealed Monday that a man has been charged in relation to a cr@sh in 2022 that claimed the life of a 5-year-old Worcester girl.

According to the Worcester District Attorney’s Office, a Worcester County Grand Jury on Friday indicted Christopher Remillard, 58, of Auburn on counts of involuntary mansl@ughter, negligent driving of a motor vehicle, and negligent homic*de by motor vehicle.

These accusations relate to Candice Asare-Yeboah’s passing. The district attorney’s spokesperson stated that Remillard was additionally charged with ass@ult and battery with a deadly weapon resulting in serious bodily injury for hurting Candice’s mother.

Candice and her mother were discovered hurt on the street by officers responding to a complaint of a coll!sion on Strafford Street on April 18, 2022.

A nearby hospital was visited to treat Candace and her mother. Weeks later, Candace succumbed to her wounds.

Candace fought valiantly in the hospital, but there was too much “damage” to repair, according to Candace’s mother Asha Nyarko-Asare at the time.
