Nicki Minaj Responds to Megan Thee Stallion’s Apparently Negative Remark on Her New Song “Hiss”

Nicki Minaj Fires Back at Megan Thee Stallion

Hiss,” a new song by Megan Thee Stallion, does not sit well with Nicki Minaj. In the new, angry track, Megan seems to be making fun of Nicki’s husband, Kenneth Petty, a registered sex offender, while also making reference to Megan’s Law, a federal statute that mandates the release of information regarding registered sex offenders.

These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law/ I don’t really know what the problem is, but I guarantee y’all don’t want me to start/ B—h, you a p—y, never finna check me/ Every chance you get, bet your weak ass won’t address me,” the Stallion raps on “Hiss.”

Minaj went on Instagram Live shortly after the song dropped on Friday (Jan. 26) to tease a new single that retaliates against Meg. The song makes reference to Tory Lanez shooting Meg in the foot in 2020. In 2017, the Canadian crooner was sentenced to prison after the shooting case concluded.

“Bad b—h she like six foot, I call her Big Foot/ The b—h fell off, I said get up on your good foot,” Nicki raps in the snippet. “You have three Grammys and you have to learn how to rap on the beat and be comfortable in the music,” the “Super Bass” rapper said during the Live, after he had a chuckle at Megan’s clever wordplay and played the poisonous track several times.

Nicki added on Instagram Live, “You bringing up 30-year-old tea from when this man was a 15-year-old child. You bringing up 30-year-old tea cause no man will ever f—ing love you, and lying on your dead mother.” (Megan’s mother died in 2019.)

That wasn’t all Minaj did. During a talk on Friday on the radio app Stationhead, she went into greater detail about the matter. Nicki is heard saying about Meg in a video posted on X (previously Twitter): “You let everyone be thrown under the bus.” Tory, your mom, your best friend—you let DaBaby to be thrown under the bus.

You should probably summon your mom and apologize to her. I find that repulsive. Along with publishing “Megan’s Law” and describing Megan as a “disgusting serpant,” Nicki has published other postings on X. Hit #Meganraw if you’re looking for a free beat.

Another tweet from Minaj stated that she “does not condone ‘bullying.'” However, she accused Stallion of being a “pathological & manipulative liar” and said that Stallion is “using ghost writers & still SUCK.”

A collaboration between LilJuMadeDaBeat and Bankroll Got It produced “Hiss,” the second single from Megan’s upcoming third album. Two months prior to the release of the new single, “Cobra,” her first independent effort since departing from 1501 Certified Entertainment, the rock-influenced song marked the beginning of her new era.

She achieved her seventh top ten single on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs with “Cobra,” which peaked at No. 10 and reached No. 32 on the Billboard Hot 100.
