The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Sunday that Norma Hunt, the late Lamar Hunt’s wife and mother of team president and CEO Clark Hunt, had passed away at the age of 85. What was the reason behind her de@th? We shall find that out in the next paragraph.

Norma Hunt gained notoriety for being the only woman to watch all 57 Super Bowls. The Chiefs’ most recent championship win over the Philadelphia Eagles in February was part of their winning streak. The reason of de@th was not disclosed.

The family characterized mom as being “kind, generous, and unfailingly positive. Her enthusiasm for life and joy were contagious. She cherished providing for others, and she never failed to offer supportive words. She was a devoted friend, the ideal hostess, and she possessed a special talent for making everyone she came into contact with feel important and at ease.”
Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, tweeted his sympathy:

In 1964, Texas-born teacher Norma Knobel wed Lamar Hunt. Hunt was a founding member of the AFL, which later combined with the NFL to establish the current league. The AFC Championship Trophy bears his name. Additionally, the Hunt family founded Major League Soccer and still owns FC Dallas. In 2006, after Lamar passed away, their son Clark took over.
