Early Life

Richard Ashton Martin-Trowers was the name given to Rich Dollaz when he was born on August 4, 1971, in Waterbury, Connecticut. His mother, Jewel Escobar, who has made multiple appearances on “Love and Hip Hop: New York” alongside him, is his biological parent. Dollaz received his education at Fisk University, and during his time there, he worked as an intern at Bad Boy Records, which is owned by Sean “Diddy” Combs. Rich was given the nickname “Rich Dollaz” by his friend Diddy.


Dollaz worked for Bad Boy Records for eight years, during which time he managed the careers of performers such as Cassie, Yung Joc, and Gorilla Zoe and assisted at the beginning of their careers. During his time with the label, Rich played an important role in helping to shape Cassie’s early success. Following his departure from Bad Boy, Dollaz was offered a position as the head of radio promotion at Universal Music.

In 2009, he established Dollaz Unlimited, a talent agency that has since represented Erica Mena and Olivia Longott, two cast members from “Love and Hip Hop: New York.” Additionally, performers including R-Les, Danity Kane, Cory Gunz, and Cheri Dennis have received assistance from Dollaz.

In 2011, Rich Dollaz made his debut appearance on “Love and Hip Hop: New York” during the show’s first season as the manager of one of the cast members, Olivia Longott. Rich has “a tendency to mix work with pleasure” when it comes to the ladies he manages, as seen in “Love and Hip Hop: New York.” These women include Erica Mena, Jhonni Blaze, Diamond Strawberry, Mariahlynn, Jade Wifey, and Anas. In addition to the child he shares with his ex-girlfriend Miracle Kaye Hall, whose name is Ashley, he also has a few additional children, the identities of whom he has not disclosed to the general public.

According to reports, Dollaz has been detained on multiple occasions for failing to pay the required child support. In 2018, Miracle was arrested for shooting her husband, Theaudry Hall.

Despite the fact that Theaudry chose not to pursue charges, the state first charged Miracle with attempted murder, however, this charge was later lowered to aggravated assault. Miracle is currently free on bond. Rich made a solemn oath that he would do all in his power to prevent Miracle from being arrested, and he commented on the circumstances as follows:

“I never imagined that this Christian woman who did such an incredible job raising my kid could possibly find herself in such a precarious situation,” said the mother.
