Shoresy Season 2: Will There Be Another Season?

Shoresy Season 2: Will There Be Another Season? Shoresy, a prequel to the long-running Letterkenny serial, will debut on Hulu on May 27th as a spin-off. A new season of Shoresy (Jared Keeso, who is also the show’s creator) is about to begin in the harsher rinks of Sudbury, Ontario, as he leaves Letterkenny. A sacred oath has been made by Shoresy to never lose another hockey game with the dismal Sudbury Bulldogs of the Northern Ontario Senior Hockey Organization, or NOSHO. Shoresy may get another season if the Bulldogs have a stronger season than normal.

Letterkenny’s usual shenanigans will likely be absent from Shoresy. In place of the small town, rural feel of its predecessor, which was based on the YouTube series Letterkenny Problems, the grit and grime of hockey locker rooms will undoubtedly prevail. As of 2016, Letterkenny has aired 11 seasons, which bodes well for Shoresy if it can recreate some of the original series’ enchantment.

Shoresy Season 2 Plot/Story

Recently, Jacob Tierney, who also serves as the show’s director, gave an interview to Movie Web in which he discussed the several ways in which Shoresy is distinct from Letterkenny. “They’re completely different animals,” he explained. “Shoresy is narrating a narrative right now… But Letterkenny is meant to be the complete antithesis of that; it is intended to be a location where you can return again and again despite the absence of a significant plot.

My opinion is that they are not the same and do not have the same goals. According to what Tierney has articulated, Shoresy is attempting to try its hand at something that is slightly more ambitious in terms of the story than its predecessor. In contrast to Letterkenny, there is a story that drives you forward throughout the show.

Tierney explained, “That’s why I’m so happy for people to see all six episodes and for them to see it in order as we spin the narrative for them.” The director also brought up the fact that a renewal for Season 2 has not yet been announced, but he emphasized that this has not prevented him from making plans for the future: “We’re not done. We’d like to do more.”

Shoresy Season 2 Cast

Regarding the individuals that will comprise the cast of Shoresy, the ice hockey nut featured in Letterkenny will be the only one to be recast. Tasya Teles, best known for her role as Raven on The 100, will also be a mainstay in this group, playing the role of the Bulldogs’ no-nonsense team manager Nat.

The series will also receive a dose of authenticity as a result of the participation of former National Hockey League players Brandon Nolan, Jordan Nolan, and Jon Mirasty, all of whom will be a part of the cast in Season 1.

Shoresy Season 2 Release Date

Despite the positive reception that Season 1 has received, there has not been any word that there will be a Season 2 yet. After seeing how well the first season of the hockey program was received, Hulu is likely going to take its time determining whether or not to continue producing the spin-off series.

The game Shoresy wasn’t going to hit screens until May 2022, even though it was announced in June 2021. If the program were to be renewed, it seems doubtful that there would be a delay of 11 months between the official announcement of the renewal and the start of the new season. If we give the production the benefit of the doubt, it’s possible that a second season might premiere in 2023, provided that it is renewed.
