Authorities have reported that Seamus Gray, a 21-year-old U.S. Navy sailor who went missing last month, has had his body discovered in Waukegan, Illinois, near Lake Michigan.
A body that matched Gray’s physical description was taken from Waukegan Harbor on Wednesday night shortly after 7 p.m., according to Chief Edgardo Navarro of the Waukegan Police Department. According to WGN9, the deceased’s attire matched the description of the missing sailor.
According to police, the body was initially found by ComEd employees nearby, who then called the authorities.
The body was later identified as Gray’s by the Lake County coroner, according to the site. There will be an autopsy, as planned.
The day following St. Patrick’s Day, on March 18, Gray was last seen leaving a bar in Waukegan. He and his pals, according to the police, were under the influence.

Then, as reported by WGN9, he was observed strolling close to the Metra station. He later skipped his 2 p.m. curfew.
The Great Lakes were Gray’s designated area. His mother posted about the disappearance on social media.
“The last 8 days have been grueling, nauseating, heartbreaking, and quite honestly soul-crushing,” she wrote. Together with his younger brother Deck, “This boy” is my “heart, my world, and my love of my life.”
“As I type this, I’m trying not to throw up,” his mother continued. I am unable to sleep and will not go to bed until I know where my son is and what happened to him.
