The Witcher Season 3 Plot/Story
The third season of The Witcher has a plot summary on Netflix that reads: “As the Continent’s monarchs, wizards, and animals vie for her capture, Geralt flees with Ciri of Cintra to safety, vowing to defend his newly reunited family from those who would do them harm. They arrive at the walled castle of Aretuza, where Yennefer hopes to uncover more about Ciri’s untapped powers; instead, they find themselves entangled in a battleground of political corruption, dark magic, and betrayal. They have no choice but to fight back and risk losing each other forever if they don’t.”
It’s been a long time since the second season of The Witcher ended, and the net is closing in on Ciri, who is being pursued by Nilfgaard, Redania, and the Northern kingdoms. Yennefer and Geralt are protecting Ciri from Francesca and the remaining elves, who are still on the loose. In the upcoming season, the warring groups and factions will be the driving force.
Season 3 of The Witcher might be all about betrayal, too. At the moment, Jaskier and the wizards of Aretuza appear to be at odds on who they should serve. Yennefer and Geralt will be in jeopardy as a result.
Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer were also momentarily taken to another realm in the season 2 conclusion of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. They could be the show’s final antagonists, but that doesn’t mean they won’t appear in the future season in a small capacity.
The Witcher Season 3 Cast
Geralt (Henry Cavill), Ciri (Freya Allan), and Yennefer (Alyssa Milano) will all be back for season 3 of The Witcher (Anya Chalotra).
Expect to see the likes of Kim Bodnia, Paul Bullion, and Yasen Atour in season 3 of Vesemir, Lambert, and Coen.
It’s likely that regulars Jaskier (Joey Batey), Fringilla (Mimi Ndiweni), Cahir (Eamon Farren), and Francesca (Mecia Simson) will all have a role in the story – as well as Francesca’s love interest Filavandrel and her friends Francesco, Triss, and Filavandrel, as well as Francesca’s love interest Francesco (Lars Mikkelsen).
A few of the second season’s newcomers are also expected to make a return. Dijkstra, Phillipa, Rience, and Lydia (all played by Graham McTavish) are among the others (Aisha Fabienne Ross). Not to mention Duny’s reappearance as Nilfgaardian Emperor Emhyr (Bart Edwards).
Both Codringher and Fenn will return for the third season, according to Hissrich, who also confirmed the news to GamesRadar+.
In addition, four more actors have been added to the cast. Zhang Meng’er Meng will portray Milva, “a human adopted by the dryads of Brokilon Forest.” Another way to characterize her is that she is an expert huntress.
Gallatin, the “born fighter,” is played by Robbie Amell. Nilfgaard’s guerrilla Scoia’tael are under his command.
Radovid is Hugh Skinner “Son of King Vizimir and younger brother of the king.
In a matter of moments, he is able to become a member of the Redanian Intelligence.”
Mistle, a member of The Rats, is played by Christelle Elwin. A “band of misfit youths who steal from the rich and donate to themselves – and sometimes the poor” is what they are.
Adjoa Andoh, who portrays Nenneke, is one of the cast members who have yet to be confirmed for the upcoming season. “Honestly, I’m not sure. That will be the case, “She said so in an interview with Radio Times” (opens in new tab). “There are so many books. You may read about them in so many different ways. Nenneke appears in a lot of works. What they want to do with this version of it is up to them.”
