Percy Jackson Show Release Date: Releasing Next Year?

We have every reason to believe that Disney plans to do an excellent job with its next film version of the well-known young adult novel series.

There have already been two previous Percy Jackson and the Olympians films, 2010 original and the 2013 sequel, both of which were based on the same source material.

The critics pointed out the films’ large and at times incomprehensible deviations from the best-selling books as a key issue. Riordan has complained about being excluded from the filming process and claims to have never seen the films.

The upcoming Disney+ series may adapt one book per season or all five in a single limited series event, like “Game of Thrones.” Let’s see.

With Aryan Simhadri and Leah Sava Jeffries joining the cast in May of 2022 to play Grover Underwood and Annabeth Chase, Disney completed the show’s key three in May of that year (via Variety).

The pilot’s outline is nearing completion. It’s not the same as a term paper outline, but it’s more like a script sans dialogue. I can’t stop smiling!
