Why Did Desus And Mero Break Up? Why The Boys Breakup?

Late-night sensations Desus Nice and the Kid Mero will “pursue distinct creative ventures moving forward,” according to their upcoming plans.

After making a name for themselves with their popular podcast Desus vs. Mero (later Bodega Boys), then taking their talents to Viceland and later Showtime with their talk show Desus & Mero, the comedy duo will no longer be chopping it up in late-night.

A spokeswoman for Showtime said in a statement that “Desus Nice and The Kid Mero will be pursuing distinct creative ventures moving forward.” the statement was released on Monday.

It is not quite clear what exactly led to this disagreement between the two parties.

Desus Nice responded to the unfortunate news on Twitter, where he thanked Showtime and the duo’s devoted followers, who are collectively referred to as the Bodega Hive, and promised that “huge tings” were on the way in the near future.
