This week, a lady was found guilty by a jury in the state’s Supreme Court of stabbing to death a man who was 67 years old in the year 2021 in Durand Eastman Park.
According to the office of the Monroe County District Attorney, Shannon Rienholtz, who is now 41 years old, was found guilty of second-degree murder in connection with the death of James Wooden, who was 67 years old and lived in Rochester. Wooden passed away on September 29, 2021.
Rienholtz and Kristin Dean-Krueger were both charged with murder in connection with the death of Wooden, who had more than 40 stab wounds. Wooden’s body was found in a dumpster. Within the park, he was discovered in a parking lot that was located on Zoo Road. The police did not elaborate on how the three individuals knew each other.
In March, Dean-Krueger entered a guilty plea to the charge of first-degree manslaughter, which is a criminal offense, for her part in the homicide.

During a disagreement, Rienholtz and Dean-Krueger are accused of stabbing Wooden with a pocket knife, seizing his vehicle, and fleeing the scene after the incident, as stated in the court records. According to the documents filed in the case, a bystander discovered Wooden lying on the ground and immediately dialed 911.
Assistant District Attorney Monica O’Brien, who assisted Assistant District Attorney Camille Ingino in the prosecution of the case, stated that “Shannon Rienholtz violently stabbed James Wooden to death.” Nobody has earned the right to be abandoned in the middle of the night and presumed dead.
Rienholtz is expected to have his sentencing hearing on June 13 before Justice Judith Sinclair of the Texas Supreme Court. As a person who has been convicted of a felony more than once, she might face anywhere from 15 years to life to 25 years to life.
On May 16th, Dean-Krueger, a witness who was present throughout Rienholtz’s trial, is set to make an appearance in court. Her punishment has not yet been set.
