Michael Mann hasn’t had a movie in theaters for quite some time. Thief, Manhunter, The Last of the Mohicans, Heat, and The Insider are just a few of the films that Mann has directed. However, he hasn’t directed a film since Blackhat in 2015. Maybe that’s because it bombed with critics and consumers alike.
Recently, he tried his hand at television by helming HBO’s premiere episode of Tokyo Vice. The novel Heat 2 was written by him as well, and it was both a prequel and a sequel to one of his most successful films.
But this year, with the star-studded biopic Ferrari, which Mann has spent over 20 years crafting, he finally gets to return to his first passion. The complete movie synopsis is provided below.
Ferrari Movie Release Date
The premiere of Ferrari is presently scheduled for Christmas Day, December 25.
Ferrari Plot
Neon has not yet given a plot synopsis for the film, but it will likely take place around 1957. While Enzo Ferrari is struggling with marital problems and the loss of his son, the Ferrari company is facing the prospect of insolvency. All the while, he is taking a huge risk in an attempt to win the Mille Miglia, an Italian 1,000-mile road event.
Michael Mann and Troy Kennedy-Martin are the credited screenwriters for Ferrari, adapting it from the book Enzo Ferrari: The Man and the Machine by Brock Yates.

NEON released a new trailer for Ferrari on October 18, 2023. You may view it down here:
