Michael John McCarthy is the current head coach of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys. McCarthy was born in the United States on November 10, 1963. He led the Green Bay Packers as head coach from 2006 until 2018.

Head coaching opportunities did not arise for Mike McCarthy until 2006, despite the fact that he began coaching in the NFL in 1993. He had worked for four separate companies for twelve years in three different capacities before becoming the Packers’ boss that year.
For two years, he oversaw offensive quality control, and for three years, he coached quarterbacks for the Kansas City Chiefs. In 1999, he spent a year coaching quarterbacks with Green Bay, the position he would ultimately ascend to.
His following six years were split between two teams as offensive coordinator; he was with the New Orleans Saints for five of those years and the San Francisco 49ers for one. Only then did he move on to head coaching. Upon receiving the invitation to become a head coach, McCarthy was prepared to depart.
