According to local authorities, shots were fired at an after-prom party in Texas, injuring at least nine youths although not seriously.
Just after midnight, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies had responded to a disturbance at a residence north of Jasper.
According to the Facebook post, deputies discovered nine individuals with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to Karli Cherry, a spokeswoman for the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, the victims’ ages range from 15 to 19.
The sheriff’s office said that the injured people were sent to nearby hospitals for care.
The tweet also stated that “people of interest are being questioned” as part of the ongoing inquiry.
