On Saturday, the Winona Police Department declared the formal search for missing lady Madeline Kingsbury to be over.
Police claimed they were able to cover more land in less time because of the enormous number of people who participated in the searches. On Friday, 1,900 people looked for Kingsbury, and 700 people looked on Saturday, according to the police.
The police agency said, “We want to thank the community for this incredible outpouring of support for Maddi and her family, which takes us that much closer to bringing her home.
Both the hunt for Maddi and the inquiry into her disappearance are ongoing, according to police.
Teams of law enforcement officers will start focused searches as soon as investigators find new leads.

According to police, agents from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are still present in Winona to assist with the investigation. Together with other public safety partners, the counties of Fillmore and Winona are prepared to help at any time.
