After his cameo in the 2014 action comedy The Interview, rumors started swirling about the Grammy-winning rapper. Remember that Eminem came out as homosexual on live TV in the film, which was banned in North Korea because of James Franco and Seth Rogan’s characters carrying out a plot to assassinate Kim Jong-un. Even though it was all staged, the act managed to send the entire country into a frenzy.

With his deadpan approach, Eminem admitted to his real-life history of sprinkling gay innuendoes and gay slurs into his songs, making it easy to believe that his coming out sequence in The Interview was a clever coming-out marketing stunt.
“I’m more shocked that people haven’t figured it out yet,” Eminem said to James Franco’s character in the movie. “I’ve been playing gay peek-a-boo for years. I’ve pretty much been leaving a gay breadcrumb trail.”
When you add in his statements from a 2017 interview with Vulture, in which he said he uses Grindr to find dates, you have a rumor with some meat to it. In case you don’t know, Grindr is a homosexual dating app, and Eminem’s comment hit the LGBT community like a final blow.
The rapper’s comment on Grindr was quickly clarified as a jest via a statement issued by Eminiem’s representative. Rep. said, “I’m confirming that he was joking about using both Tinder and Grindr,” to The Muse. In addition, Eminem has never dated anyone other than a woman, and his only significant relationship was with Kim Scott, with whom he shares two children.
Eminem is, as far as anyone can tell, straight, despite his penchant for using the gay community as the punchline or an insult to spice up a snappy double entendre.
Who is Eminem Dating Now?
According to rumors, Eminem (actual name: Marshall Mathers) is currently single.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, the rapper remarked that it’s hard for him to find someone that he can trust.
“I mean, I’d like to be in a relationship again someday. Who doesn’t? It’s just hard to meet new people, in my position,” he said.
“I have trust issues. With women, friends, whatever. You always wonder what their real motives are.”
He added, “I’ve got a small circle of friends, and it’s a lot of the same friends I’ve known forever. Right now, that works for me.”
Is Eminem Married?
Eminem is currently single, but he and Kimberly Anne Scott were in an on-again, off-again romance for years. They had their daughter, Hailie, in 1995, and they eventually got married in 1999. They split up in 2001, got back together in 2006, then split up again in the same year.
In 2010, there were rumors that Eminem and Kim were getting back together, but the rapper denied such reports.
“Contrary to false rumors spread by unreliable tabloids, Marshall and Kim Mathers are not romantically reunited in any way, nor are they expecting a child together,” a representative for Eminem said in 2010. “They are a divorced couple who share custody of their daughter and maintain a friendly relationship.”
