An investigation has been opened by the police following the fatal shooting of a man on Saturday evening at an apartment complex in Lawrence.
According to the Lawrence Police Department, just a few minutes before 9 o’clock in the evening, police were dispatched to the 7100 block of McIntosh Lane on reports of shots being fired.
When the police arrived, they discovered a man who had been shot and was suffering from the wound. The Lawrence Fire Department arrived on the site and confirmed the man’s death there and then.
According to the police, they have a person of interest in custody at this time.
According to the findings of the investigation, this was a solitary and limited incident that included people who were familiar with one another.
