Authorities announced on Thursday that a woman who was detained in connection with a string of unprovoked att@cks on other women in Chicago with a baseball bat faces multiple charges, including aggravated battery with a de@dly we@pon.
According to a statement released by the Chicago Police Department, Denise Solorzano, 26, is also facing multiple counts of aggravated battery in a public place as well as aggravated assault with a motor vehicle.
On Sunday and Tuesday, the city’s Northwest side was the location of five alleged att@cks, according to a statement that was released earlier by the local police department. According to the department, a bat was used in three of the incidents.
In each of the five cases, the victims stated that the offender approached them while riding in a white car between the hours of 11:27 a.m. and 3:46 p.m. The department did not mention whether any of the women were familiar with Solorzano in their statement.

During one of the incidents that took place on Sunday, a woman reported to NBC Chicago that the perpetrator of the crime dragged her to the ground by her ponytail.

According to NBC Chicago, a video that was obtained by the station showed a lady walking up to another woman who was pushing a stroller in the front yard of a residence on Tuesday and repeatedly hitting her with a metal bat.
According to the police department, the majority of the victims declined to receive emergency medical treatment. One was taken to the hospital, although initial reports indicated that they were in good condition.
The ages of the victims ranged from 27 to 34 to 19 to 33, according to the department.
NBC Chicago stated that at Solorzano’s court appearance on Thursday, the judge ordered that he be held on an 800,000 dollar bond.
According to the station, her attorney stated that she does not have any prior criminal history.
