On the early hours of Sunday, a girl of 15 years old was seated in a vehicle on the South Side of the city when she was fatally shot in the back of the head.
The girl has been named as Demea Morris, and she is 15 years old. She is from Chicago, Illinois.
At around 12:51 in the morning, Morris was sitting in the trunk of a vehicle close to the 10600 block of South Sangamon Cul De Sac when she was struck by a bullet to the back of the head.

According to the police, she was in serious condition when she was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was subsequently pronounced dead.
