Coroner Reports A Man Was Killed In A Shooting In Lexington. A Homicide Investigation Is Being Conducted

According to Lexington police, a guy was shot early on Friday morning and later died. According to Lexington Police Department Lt. Joe Anderson, the incident took place on Pine Street near South Limestone at roughly 12:30 a.m. When police came, they discovered a man in the road lying wounded from a gunshot.

According to Anderson, the man’s injuries were first considered to be life-threatening. He was taken to a hospital, where the Fayette County Coroner’s Office reports that he was pronounced dead just after 1 a.m.

The coroner’s office reported that the individual was identified as Versailles resident Clinton Brown, age 21. His death is being looked into as a possible homicide.

According to Anderson, there was an altercation between several people before the gunshot. Police are still trying to identify those responsible for the disturbance and gunshot.
