Florida ‘Ninja Killer’ Executed After Eating Pork Ribs And Wings For His Last Meal

Louis Gaskin, a death row inmate from Florida, was killed on Wednesday for the murder of a couple in 1989.

At 6 p.m. local time, “ninja killer” Gaskin, who was convicted of murdering Robert Sturmfels, 56, and Georgette Sturmfels, 55, on December 20, 1989, in their Flagler County vacation home on Florida’s northeastern coast, was to be put to death by lethal injection.

Justice doesn’t focus on the offense. In his final comment, Gaskin stated, “It’s not about the criminal. It has to do with the law.

He continued, “Look at my case,” before making reference to the judicial proceedings surrounding his case and the appeals.

Around 6:02 p.m., he started receiving his lethal concoction, which made him breathe rapidly while his chest rose and fell beneath a white cover. At 6:05 p.m., the warden of the prison went to see if Gaskin was still awake.

He remained silent. At 6:07 p.m., Gaskin’s breathing appeared to stop. At 6:14 p.m., a physician checked on Gaskin in the execution chamber before announcing his death a minute later.

Inmates in Florida who are about to pass away can ask for one final meal. According to the Florida Department of Corrections and Fox News Digital, Gaskin’s farewell supper included barbecue pig ribs, buffalo wings, pork and turkey neck, shrimp fried rice, French fries with honey barbecue sauce, and a water.

The last supper must be inexpensive—no more than $40—and local—to prevent luxury.

Florida carried out its second execution this year on Wednesday. Since Gaskin’s execution warrant was issued, the state and federal supreme courts have dismissed his appeals; the most recent denial came on Tuesday.

This execution occurred three weeks prior to Darryl B. Barwick’s scheduled execution for the 1986 murder of Rebecca Wendt, 24, in Panama City, and six weeks after Donald Dillbeck, 59, was sentenced to death for the 1990 murder of Faye Vann, 44, in Tallahassee.
