One individual was fatally shot early on Friday morning in an apartment complex close to the intersection of Carlisle and Menaul NE. The Albuquerque Police Department is looking into the incident.
According to a statement from APD spokesman Officer Chase Jewell, officers were called to report a shooting in the 2500 block of Carlisle NE in the BLVD 2500 Luxury Apartments at around two in the morning.

Officers found one victim who had passed away from a gunshot wound, according to Jewell, and the APD Homicide Unit took over the investigation.
More details will be provided when they become available, he said, and anybody with knowledge of the event is urged to contact APD at 242-COPS (2677) to speak with detectives.
