A bizarre video captures the moment a Virginia police officer narrowly avoided colliding with an out-of-control vehicle during a traffic check on Monday.
The Fairfax County Police released a video showing a speeding automobile slamming into a car that was stopped on the shoulder and crossing multiple lanes of traffic.
As he ran out of the way, a police officer was clipped, resulting in minor injuries.
According to authorities, a 17-year-old driver traveling in the opposite direction at a fast speed lost control of the vehicle and slammed into the stopped vehicle on the side of Fairfax County Parkway close to Braddock Road.

Non-life-threatening injuries were experienced by all parties involved.
The 17-year-old was accused of driving recklessly.

It is the driver’s responsibility to drive safely and arrive safely. Parents and guardians should consider using this video as an opportunity to have a conversation with their teen drivers about how their driving behavior can affect the lives of others.”
