After Escaping From The Monroe County Youth Center, A Juvenile Was Captured

Deputies caught a teenager who was being detained at the Monroe County Youth Center after he eluded them for about 30 minutes on Saturday night.

At around 6:40 o’clock in the evening, the child ran away from the youth facility. Saturday, according to a statement from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office gathered in the area and started looking for the young person.

According to the press statement, Deputy Zielinski discovered the child strolling along South Custer Road and Herr Road at 7:08 p.m. Deputies Zielinski, Graham, and Boski successfully apprehended the child without further incident following a brief foot pursuit.

The minor was brought back to the Monroe County Youth Center and detained in anticipation of the filing of more charges, such as escape and malicious property damage.
